We all know Toyota for their reliable and affordable automobiles. What most people don't know is they bring that same excellence to industrial equipment manufacturing and have been for over forty years! Toyota has been manufacturing forklifts since the 1950s. In the early 1970s they built the world's largest manufacturing plant in the world. Today, they are one of the largest manufacturers of forklifts in the world!
Toyota Forklift Prices #
You can expect a new Toyota forklift to cost between $20,000 and $45,000 while a used Toyota forklift can cost $6,000 to $25,000.
Toyota pioneered a new level of safety technology with their forklifts beginning in 1999. They invented the System of Active Stability (SAS). This technology made forklifts much safer. It's an electronic program that senses and prevents accidents. It helps prevent forklifts from overturning, therefore, stopping some injuries that would have been inevitable with lesser technology. Keeping people safe on the job is a huge priority so this is welcome technology for a potentially hazardous job. Only newer Toyota forklifts have the technology. Be sure to make sure your new Toyota forklift has this feature if you can afford it.

Toyota Forklift Owners on Prices Paid #
We interviewed several Toyota forklift owners to learn what they paid. Here is what they told us:
Our small business bought a used 2,500 lb capacity Toyota 8FGCU15 for $15,000 last year. It had about 5,000 hours on it but was gently used. Has worked great for our warehouse.
We paid $38,000 for a new Toyota 8FGCU30 in 2020. It can lift up to 6,000 lbs which is perfect for our needs. More than we hoped to spend but it should last us a long time.
I found a used Toyota 7FGCU35 on an online equipment auction and got it for $19,500. It's an older model but only had 890 hours and does the 3,500 lbs lifting we need.
Our construction company bought 2 new Toyota 8FGCU32s this year for $42,000 each. These 6,500 lb capacity models were expensive but have all the latest safety features we wanted.
Needed a small electric stand-up lift, so I purchased a used Toyota Core IC forklift for $9,800. It's only got a 2,000 lb capacity but is perfect for my retail stocking and warehouse.
