Jacuzzi is the Cadillac of hot tub brands. The company invented the hot tub in the 1950s and continues to be an industry leader. In fact, the Jacuzzi brand is so popular that the name is used interchangeably with hot tubs or spas (much like Kleenex brand and Q-tip).

Jacuzzi hot tubs are more expensive than many other brands but they're built to last. They also come with lots of upgraded features like LED lights, multi-tier seating, pillow headrests and advanced filtration systems. Jacuzzi hot tubs also get excellent ratings for design and customer service.

Types of Jacuzzi Hot Tubs #

Jacuzzi has four basic lines of hot tubs, and several models and designs are available within each.

The J-LX Collection is the newest and most luxurious. It's also energy efficient, costing only $10 to $15 per month in energy costs. The hot tubs seat 5 to 6 adults and have 36 to 38 top-of-the-line jets. Other features include:

  • A faux wood cabinet that is sleeker than acrylic

  • LED lighting

  • Multi-tier seating

  • Pillow headrests

  • A weatherproof stereo option and premium speakers

  • An advanced filtration system

The J-400 Collection is another luxury series. The tubs seat 4 to 7 adults and have 33 to 48 jets. Features include:

  • An iPod compatible sound system
  • Adjustable lighted pillows
  • A waterfall feature
  • Internal lighting
  • A quiet and energy-efficient filtration system
  • Foot-mounted jets

The J-300 Collection is a portable spa that seats 4 to 7 adults and has 13 to 46 jets, depending on the model. Features include:

  • Lounge seating
  • LED lighting
  • Waterfall feature
  • Stereo option with micro-speakers
  • An auxiliary jack for an iPod
  • Adjustable pillows

The J-200 Collection is the most affordable, seating 4 to 7 with 19 to 44 jets. It's the only Jacuzzi model that doesn't require hardwiring, so you won't have to pay for a plumber. Features include:

  • Digital controls
  • A lounge seat
  • Whirlpool jets
  • Pillow headrests
  • Cup holders
